Accomplishments

• Filed a lawsuit against the operators of the Tri-City Landfill and the cities of Mesa. Scottsdale, and Tempe when the landfill washed down the Salt River through the Phoenix metropolitan area. The settlement reached required the landfill to be capped so as to prevent further washouts.
  
  
• DWA won a landmark federal court decision affirming that the Clean Water Act applies on native American reservations.
